If you are a believer in using all things Italian, including your skincare and beauty products, then perhaps consider a brand that prides itself on meticulous scientific research behind its formulations: Diego Dalla Palma, originally founded in Milan in 1970 and now found all over the world.
A professional brand for all
Known initially as a professional makeup brand, it then branched out into skincare, creating RVB Skinlab (RVB Stands for Research, Value and Beauty). This exceptional skincare line is for all skin types, bringing the latest research and effective ingredients together to help skin fight free radicals and soften the signs of ageing.
Apparently, since its inception, the vision was for the brand to explore all areas in the beauty industry in innovative and unique ways – ‘different’ is seen as being really attractive to the discerning woman – and by the way, the majority of the staff at Diego Dalla Palma are women. Proudly Italian, the brand embodies elegance and creativity.
Youth Venom by Diego Dalla Palma
One of the skincare products I was fortunate to try is a very complex and cutting-edge serum called Youth Venom – an alarming name, you might think, but however, anything in danger of succumbing to its lethal properties are your wrinkles! So it’s ideal for reducing lines without resorting to injections or other invasive treatments. The claim is that after 28 days of use in a clinical trial, participants experienced a significant reduction in the depth and volume of wrinkles and an increase in smoothness and radiance.
Not having used it for that length of time, I cannot attest to this, but here are the scientific facts available to us:
The singular and sophisticated ingredient, M-Conotoxin III, is derived from the venom of the Conus Seashell; it’s stripped of any toxins and works very much like a muscle relaxant, so it lessens your micro skin contractions. It is an active ingredient having the ability to smooth the skin quite rapidly.
Other ingredients include:
Glycans, protecting the vital functions of the skin cells and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.
Jojoba oil which is a highly penetrative emollient that closely resembles the natural sebum within the skin and is also anti-inflammatory.
Hyaluronic acid which retains water and is effective in plumping out the skin.
It comes in a heavy, back glass bottle, like a vial, with a dropper dispenser, so there is no chance of wastage. The serum is very light in texture, there seems to be a pleasant fragrance at first but this dissipates almost immediately as the formula is very quickly absorbed.
What I love about Diego Dalla Palma products is that they are all free from heavy metals, dyes, fragrances, mineral oils, gluten and parabens. There is no animal testing, only laboratory testing.
It should be applied morning and evening on the face and neck, working from the centre of the face and moving outwards. Avoid direct contact with the eyes.
Diego Dalla Palma products are worth a try if you’re serious about skincare.
You’ll find them at skin care clinics and spas.
